Am I getting through to people?

Today, whilst walking to the pub, I was passing a man in the street, on the outside.

I am a fast walker and tend to overtake a lot of people, I usually do this on the outside so as to make it consistent with the driving style.

All of a sudden this guy needed to cross the road and made little "I'm turning left signs". He then checked his blind spot, saw me and apologized for cutting me off. He hadn't, but only because he checked first.

Most of the time I find myself dodging around people who don't look and usually don't care, this guy did both. It's those nice, little, social things that put a smile on your face.
